Our founder, Eddie "Trey" Breaux, is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer who spent over two years in Mali, West Africa. This was a truly transformative experience and has lead to our goal of provide more people with the joys and growth that comes with visiting and integrating into diverse cultures around the world.
The name "Yaala" is derived from the Malian West African language Bamanankan, meaning "to wander or cross." This name embodies our mission to inspire exploration and cultural immersion for travelers, digital nomads and flexible professionals, and retirees.
